How to transport fresh flower

How to make sure your flower is fresh when transport your flower to other destination? here is some tips for you:

i) Ensure your flower is properly cut before trip.

ii) Re-cut your flower when you reached your destination and give them fresh water.

iii) Wrap flower with tissue paper or paper towel and place them in the flat box and dampen them with spray mister. Bring along spray mister if long journey.

iv) Use heavy plastic bag holds in moisture and keep laps and seats dry. Secure bag with string but let flower heads poke out.

v) Use handy container like old style mason jar for transporting small arrangement. To protect against spills, wrap the jar with tin foil, crushing the foil gently around the rim (not over the flower heads) then add the raffia bow.

When you have a beautiful orchid bouquet, you do not want it to died faster and you will do your best to make orchid more lasting, i am here to share some tips on how to extend life for your orchid, hopefully it’s useful:

i) When you got home, remove water vial from the stem of each spray.

ii) Trim a half inch or more from the end of each spray.

iii) Submerge the entire stem, including the flower head into fresh (room temperature) water for 5 – 10mins.

iv) Fill vase with room temperature water and add flower food.

v) Remove from water, gently shake off the excess and place orchid in vase.

vi) Mist flowers up to three times a day. (recommended)

vii) Keep out of direct sunlight and away from hot or cold drafts.

viii) Re-cut stems and change the water every day. In this way, you will extend the life of your orchid.
